Despite growing up in the same picturesque village, Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, aka Maribou State, customarily ignored each other at school, but discovered their shared passion for music at university in Leeds and became firm friends. Since then they have steadily built a glowing reputation via their debut album, a string of well-loved EPs, and a fistful of remixes (Including Kelis, Lana Del Rey, and Ultraísta). Plaudits from the electronic press have flowed thick and fast alongside support from radio heavyweights: Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Annie Mac, Giles Peterson, and Pete Tong amongst others. Intrigued by the dynamics of electronic music for the dance floor as much as with the richness and human quality of live instrumentation and song craft, the have worked tirelessly to evolve and forge a unique, compelling and deeply soulful marriage of the organic and the synthetic, showcased on their debut LP, Portraits.

'Mall Grab came out of nowhere to become one of the most talked about artists of 2016. His lo-fi jams struck a chord with the emerging hazy house scene that has seen labels such as Lobster Theremin and 1080p rise to prominence, and his playful online presence has made him an engaging, if at times divisive, artist in a field of often sterile social media updates. The young producer, real name Jordon Alexander, hails from Newcastle in Australia’s New South Wales state. He first got into music through the records his parents would play by bands like The Cure, The Clash and Talking Heads, and he still counts David Byrne among his biggest musical influences, also noting that, 'I think his sense of humour aligns with mine quite well too.' An interest in dance music flourished in his teenage years as the Ed Banger crew developed into a movement, and he became a self-confessed “total wannabe electro teen DJ.”'

Dan Shake has achieved something many can only dream of. Becoming the first producer with no Detroit heritage or residency to land a release on Moodymann's prestigious record label Mahogani Music, with his debut single ‘3 AM Jazz Club’. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength, collaborating with talented newcomer Medlar, and releasing a slew of superb productions and edits. Citing the layered percussive rhythms of Afrobeat, the soul-drenched sampling of J Dilla and the dark, dense grooves laid out by contemporary producers Flying Lotus and Motor City Drum Ensemble as influences, his productions maintain an infectious groove.
