UK Art Lantern Festival

The Lantern Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the first Chinese lunar month, and traditionally ends the Chinese New Year period. In 2016 it falls on February 22nd.

The Lantern Festival is the last day (traditionally) of China's most important festival, Spring Festival (a.k.a. the Chinese New Year festival). After the Lantern Festival, Chinese New Year taboos are no longer in effect and all New Year decorations are taken down.
