Carol Ann Duffy describes Ian McMillan as ‘world-class – one of today’s greatest poetry performers.’
Hear poetry read by the Bard of Barnsley, the hugely popular and entertaining Ian McMillan, presenter of The Verb on BBC Radio 3, and by ex-human rights lawyer Mona Arshi, whose debut collection Small Hands won the Forward Prize for best first collection in 2015.
Music will be played by the energetic, original and quirky Blind Monk Trio – Bob Whittaker on tenor saxophone, Hugo Harrison on double bass and Johnny Hunter on drums.
A celebration of contemporary poetry and music in one of Manchester's most beautiful venues.
Suitable for ages 14 and over.
