They are delighted to welcome Claire Mooney to the House for an evening of original live music.

Claire was Musical Director for the brilliant, ‘Gaskell the Musical’, performed at Elizabeth Gaskell’s House. She wrote the Gaskell anthem 'Let the Women Rise' – and this performance will include an exclusive acoustic version of this.

Claire is a seasoned singer songwriter and performer with 7 albums to her credit. Her songs have received worldwide airplay. For the last 3 years she has written a song a week about the news for BBC Radio Manchester's Saturday Breakfast Show. She has been featured on BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour and BBC 5Live asked her to write a new national anthem from listeners - performed and broadcast in less than 50 minutes!

Claire has been commissioned to write for a variety of international and national events including events in Denmark and Ireland. Her performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival got four star reviews.
