Visual Arts Workshop: Killing Me Softly

Looking at the symbiotic dialogue between fashion model and photographer, this session will offer an analysis of Black Duck Feathers, a dress created by fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen that emblematically served to turn an indistinct female body into a romantic, melancholic bird of prey.

The workshop will also include a reading of Helmut Newton’s photography that playfully questions sexual differences. Throughout the discussion, the focus will be on the equation between violence and death in fashion. Tutor: Alessandro Bucci
