Sounds of the City is back in July 2020, taking over Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl for a series of headline concerts, featuring Foals, Crowded House, Kaiser Chiefs and Razorlight, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Lewis Capaldi, DMA’S, The Streets and Haçienda Classiçal. Sounds Of The City has established itself as a staple part of the Manchester music scene with some of the most acclaimed live artists taking to the stage.
DMA’S (dee-em-ayes) are Johnny Took, Matt Mason and Tommy O’Dell, three friends who came together making nostalgic garage pop in a bedroom in Newtown, Australia. Having met whilst playing in other bands, DMA’S are three writers, three mates, three frontmen – all with a common sense of purpose and musicality. Writing a few songs together, the band demoed them in Johnny’s bedroom-studio, gaining instant attention - all before putting out an official track or playing a single show.

'The Blinders are a three-piece alternative group from Doncaster who are now based in Manchester. The band attempts to be in your face at all times, smelting loud and visceral political punk rock with enigmatic, psychedelic poetry and tones. Their diverse, unique combination of raw music creates the ‘Punkadelic’ sound which forces the trio to give everything they’ve got in their frenzied performances, leaving only blood-stained instruments behind.'
