Wrexham Symphony Orchestra's Mahler Charitable Concert Series began in 2010 to raise money in support of dementia charities. The orchestra returns to The Bridgewater Hall for the final concert in the Mahler series. The orchestra and its Mahler Series conductor, Richard Howarth, are joined by Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus, Liverpool Welsh Choral, Chester and Manchester Cathedral Choristers, Moreton Hall School Choir and guest soloists, for a performance of the spectacular 8th Symphony, the 'Symphony of a Thousand'. The concert will be preceded by a free presentation on the 8th Symphony by the UK Branch of the Gustav Mahler Society.
