Over halfway through their Mahler Symphony cycle, Wrexham Symphony Orchestra make their Bridgewater Hall debut where they will be conducted by Richard Howarth. Mr Howarth is best known to Manchester audiences for his many years as leader of the Manchester Camerata. The orchestra is also delighted to be joined by the tremendous singing talents of Rebecca Afonwy-Jones and April Fredrick.

The performance would not be complete without four renowned local choruses, Altrincham Choral Society, Buxton Music Society, Manchester Chorale and Wrexham's Sirenian Singers. They have joined together especially for this occasion under their Chorusmaster Jill Henderson Wild.

All proceeds from this concert go towards local Alzheimer's charities.

Wrexham Symphony Orchestra

North Wales community orchestra founded in 1969. Over 800 people have performed with the WSO since its formation.
