Manchester Mid-Day Concerts
The Manchester Mid-day Concerts Society has an excellent track record for finding superb string quartets at the early stages of their careers, and the Castalian are no exception. Having achieved YCAT representation, and won a major prize at the prestigious Banff Quartet Competition, the Castalian now have a very busy schedule of concerts.
They come to Manchester with a programme of two of the greatest quartets in the repertoire. The passionate, energetic Haydn ‘5ths’ quartet is followed by the wistfully romantic Schumann in a captivating programme.

Haydn - String Quartet in D minor, Op.76 No.2
Schumann - String Quartet No.3 in A Op.41
