About the show
A special double-headline evening with flautist Eliza Marshall and singer-songwriter Dan Whitehouse. Described as an artist who “redefines the role of the flute in contemporary music,” Eliza Marshall brings a mesmerising solo performance drawn from her debut solo album Eternal Birth. Using flutes, bansuri, balafon, electronics, loop pedal and spoken word, she creates a cinematic sound world that blends classical, folk and global traditions. Inspired by nature, ancestry and renewal, the music celebrates life’s cycles and the unseen bonds that connect us to the Earth and to those who came before us. "Lovingly crafted and alive with motion. So inspirational and thought provoking.”Songlines “The fabulous flute of Eliza Marshall” Peter Gabriel Award-winning songwriter Dan Whitehouse moves between folk, ambient and indie sound worlds, weaving song and story with piano, guitar and spoken word. Born in the Black Country and now living between the UK and Japan, his deeply human songs explore connection, place and resilience. Alongside songs from acclaimed Voices From The Cones and The Glass Age, Dan will preview his 2026 album Only Love - a reflective solo-piano collection shaped by fatherhood, distance and enduring love, accompanied by David O’Brien - Dan’s collaborator on the album. “Gorgeous… and intriguing” The Guardian “…both extraordinary and beautiful” KLOF MAG Two distinctive artists, two immersive sets (and some collaboration) and an evening of powerful, thought-p
