Clarinettist Jonathan Sage and the Keats String Quartet return to Malton with a sumptuous programme of heart-warming music.
Quintessential Englishness comes from Finzi’s glorious Five Bagatelles in a beautiful arrangement for clarinet and quartet; and Herbert Howells’ free-spirited Fantasy Quartet, with its folksong inspired melodies and ravishing harmonies.
Mozart’s rarely heard single movement Clarinet Quintet in Bb Major brings classical lyricism and Brahms’ towering Clarinet Quintet in B Minor completes what promises to be a memorable evening of music.
