A Bunch of Amateurs is a love letter to amateur dramatics.
Written by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman this is a heartwarming comedy telling the tale of the Stratford Players and their plans to save their theatre from closure.
Directed by Helen Rasmussen, co-director Ian McDonald, the play features Scott Peters as faded Hollywood star Jefferson Steele who comes to take the lead in the players’ production of King Leer. Expecting the RSC, not deepest Suffolk, misunderstandings and comedy collide to bring you a highly enjoyable evening, and there will be a bar.
