Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), The Military Wives, The Patriot Girls

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra returns for a fifth year to perform this summer at the Open Air Classical Concert at Leeds Castle on Saturday 12th July. This ‘Best of British Event’ is a firm favourite for Kent's diary. Set in a natural amphitheatre, the huge concert stage is set against the backdrop of Leeds Castle, said to be the loveliest castle in the world and the glorious Kent countryside.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra have delighted audiences worldwide with its versatile programming, having been in constant demand for live performances and recordings of classical, light classical and popular music since its formation in 1987.

The inspiring outdoor programme welcomes back John Rigby as conductor and Chris Hollins as narrator.

The Military Wives Choir are back by popular demand and have performed to royalty, dignitaries and celebrities, including singing at No.10 Downing Street, the Sun Military Awards, the opening ceremony of the Olympic Stadium and the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

The Patriot Girls also make a welcome return to Kent having performed regularly all over the world. This trio of West-End leading ladies are one of the most versatile singing acts in the country, with a range of musical styles from Brit Pop to close harmony and British musicals.

On this fantastic night of picnics and patriotic flag-waving you’ll also be treated to aerial displays, a military band, field guns and a stunning fireworks finale.
