In Voice And Verse – Shakespeare In Song
Belinda Yates (soprano), Heather Chamberlain (piano) and Lance Pierson (actor) take you on a musical journey through some of the finest vocal settings, interspersed with spoken excerpts, all using Shakespeare's original texts.
Composers include the 17th and 18th century masters Pelham Humfrey and Thomas Arne; Arthur Sullivan, Rossini and Ivor Gurney. From our own era there are illuminating pieces by Madeleine Dring and Richard Stoker.
