The Hound Of The Baskervilles

Adapted for the stage by Steven Canny and John Nicholson from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel.

A fog-shrouded moorland, whispers of a fearsome, supernatural beast stalking the land, a dead body found with an expression of horror on his face, actors frantically changing trousers in the wings.

The great detective Sherlock Holmes is summoned to unravel the mysteries surrounding the death of Sir Charles Baskerville, and investigate the ancient curse of the Hound of the Baskervilles.

Three actors attempt to tell this classic tale using nothing more than a few props, hats and sheer ingenuity. Packed full of verbal and visual ingenuity and offering abundant opportunities for silly comedy and slapstick, this is a wonderfully barking spoof.
