Lytham Live!: Matt Cardle + Janet Devlin
The forthcoming two-night Lytham Live! event on August 22 and 23 has been moved to North Pier in Blackpool.
Organisers have announced today that “with regret” the event can no longer be held at Lytham’s Grade I-listed Georgian mansion.
Their statement reads: “This is no reflection on the venue of Lytham Hall with it’s beautiful grounds and we have found their team to be incredibly supportive and encouraging – however, due to a completely untenable situation brought about by third parties the events can no longer proceed.
“We are very saddened by this but due to their actions we have decided that it is highly unlikely that we will be able to return there in the future.
“Lytham Hall is a jewel on the coastline and its restoration programme is vital and these events would have added some much needed financial support from ourselves via the event.
“However, on a very positive note – Blackpool has come to rescue.
“We are pleased to announce the events will now take place as “North Pier Live!” at the iconic venue of North Pier Theatre, Blackpool.”
There will no change to the line up headlined by Matt Cardle with Janet Devlin, Harry Mondryk, Sam and The Womp and Rothwell on the Friday and featuring Collabro, Lucy Kay, Jai McDowall, Denise Pearson and Voce on the Saturday.
Tickets already purchased will be honoured at the new venue of The North Pier Theatre, if you have any questions please contact the tickets agent where you made your original purchase.

Matt Cardle is one of the UK’s best male vocal and songwriting talents of the last decade. As the resounding winner of The X Factor’s highest rating series ever in 2010, Matt Cardle stunned over 19 million viewers with his breathtaking four-octave vocal range. Matt historically won the public vote every week, with the exception of the first, and had the honour of dueting with superstar Rihanna for the live final.
Brit Award nominee Matt has since gone on to sell over 2.2 million records in the UK including a number of hit singles; #1 When We Collide, #6 Run For Your Life, #10 Loving You and the beautiful The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. These songs were taken from Matt’s three multi-platinum top 10 selling-albums; Letters (2011), The Fire (2012) and Porcelain (2013). His debut single When We Collide sold over one million copies and was recently named as one of the UK’s Top 40 biggest selling singles of the past decade and the #1 best-selling single of the past fifteen years in Ireland!
In addition to his acclaimed output as a solo artist, Matt has also shown a keen intuition for collaboration: from his top 10 hit ‘Loving You’ with pop royalty Melanie C, his live performances with double MOBO award winning Saxophonist YolanDa Brown and most recently joining The Trevor Horn Band on a number of UK summer festival dates. Perhaps the most unique among his achievements is his 2015 award for Best West End Debut, won for his show-stopping stage performance, alongside Beverly Knight, in the acclaimed West End production of Memphis.
Matt, born in Southampton and raised in Essex, has just completed his sixth UK tour playing 16 dates across the UK. In September 2013 he performed The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face at Miss World in Bali, Indonesia in front of an audience of over two billion. Matt’s performance of this song was voted the 3rd Best Moment in the history of The X Factor and has been viewed over 50 million times on YouTube.
Matt is currently writing and recording his forth studio album with a more electro, yet still soulful, sound. The album will feature an array of talented producers including; Jim Eliot (Kylie Minogue / Ellie Golding / Will Young), John Beck (Corrine Bailey Rae / Indiana), Dimitri Tikiovoi (Goldfrapp / Charli XCX / Paloma Faith) and Dan McDougall.

Former X Factor contestant Janet Devlin, had very little singing experience before Kelly Rowland chose her for the X Factor live shows. Whilst on the X Factor live shows, it was revealed that Janet had received the highest number of votes for the first Four weeks of the show, which was the highest consecutive public vote out of all the 2011 contestants. Janet is now carving out a very successful career as an acclaimed singer/songwriter, with her unique voice and style.
