Never miss another 'The Endellion String Quartet' show
The Endellion String Quartet
Haydn - String Quartet in D Op.50 No.6 (‘Frog')
Bartók - String Quartet No.2 Op.17
Beethoven - String Quartet in E-flat Op.74 (‘The Harp')
Beethoven's glowing and lyrical ‘Harp’ Quartet crowns this programme by the Endellions who are playing the complete cycle of Beethoven's quartets later this month in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Haydn's witty and inventive ‘Frog’ Quartet takes its nickname from the bariolage of the finale. Framed by these masterpieces is Bartók's riveting Second Quartet which is by turns intensely lyrical, wild and lamenting.
This event takes place at Wigmore Hall, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
