A popular Italian baritone in the mould of Piero Cappuccilli, Simone Piazzola is another leading prospect from the next generation of opera stars. Awarded second prize in the 2013 Operalia competition, Piazzola's burgeoning reputation is built upon an affinity for the heavier Verdian baritone roles.
Programme includes songs and arias by Tosti, Donizetti, Gounod and Verdi.
