Emilia Mårtensson

Emilia Mårtensson appearing at this event

Blurring the lines between folk and jazz, Emilia Martensson's clear toned intimate voice is at times deeply soulful, at others ethereal. Emilia grew up listening to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Anita O'Day, from whom she draws inspiration, while the folk songs of her native Sweden underpin who she is. 'The new face of British Jazz 2012' (The Observer).
