To begin the new season, let them transport you to a former time: France of the 1920s. They open at a glamorous, flirty house party described in Poulenc’s ballet music.

The concert takes a jazzy turn to create the atmosphere and energy of Paris with Gershwin’s symphonic poem, music later used in the film of the same name (and now on the West End stage).

They remain in the early 20th century with Rachmaninov’s Third Symphony.
