The Camden Rocks Festival is a fantastic one day event which features over 100 great bands playing in 12 venues in Camden including Barfly, Hawley Arms and Lock Tavern.
Irish rockers who had a string of hit albums during the 1990s, 'Teethgrinder' being of particular note. From thrashy punk roots they developed a darker more intense sound that showed greater sophistication without ever sacrificing their accessibility or mainstream cross over potential.

The Rifles burst onto the UK music scene in 2006 with their attitude-laden debut 'No Love Lost'. Making heavy rock 'n' roll inspired by the likes of The Clash, Dylan and The Rolling Stones, the London four-piece cite influences as far reaching as The Smiths and The Streets, their sound is heavily sixties mod yet thoroughly modern. Sharp vocals, quick-witted songs, rolling guitars and a crucial hint of ska coming from their tighter than tight rhythm section make The Rifles the perfect London soundtrack.

The former Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things frontman/singer and lead guitarist has also released a solo album, as well as starring alongside Sadie Frost in the play 'Fool For Love' and narrating the 'The Rime Of The Modern Mariner' a film about the London Docklands.
Barat got his new group, The Jackals, together via Facebook after posting an advert for guitarists, drummers and bassists pulled in over 1000 applicants. Those recruited were Billy Tessio (Guitar), Adam Claxton (bass) and Jay Bone (drums).
As a member of the Libertines Barât released two albums, Up The Bracket (2002) and The Libertines (2004). His next band, Dirty Pretty Things, released Waterloo To Anywhere (2006) and Romance At Short Notice (2008), followed by a solo album, Carl Barât, in 2010 and his first book Threepenny Memoir – The Lives Of A Libertine in the same year.

Punk rock veteran Glen Matlock made his name as original bassist and key creative force in The Sex Pistols. In recent years, Matlock has added stints with Earl Slick’s Slinky Vagabond, the Mike Peters fronted Dead Men Walking, and even the reformed Faces to an eclectic, ever-expanding rock ‘n’ roll CV, and has also established his own group The Philistines.

The brainchild of Blacky, (ex- Red Star Rebels) and Rev (ex- The Prodigy and Towers of London), these guys drag punk into the next generation. Sunta Templeton describes them as "Sexy, raw and indeed rock and roll".

With a name that refers to the connection that all icons possess, Zico Chain are ploughing their way towards rock and roll greatness. With a dedication to song-writing and sweating, they have what it takes to rekindle the spirit of their heroes, whether that means The Pixies, Motorhead or The Who.

Formed between workmates Fudge (Ex-Martini Henry Rifles / Space in the 50's) and Scott (Ex-Midasuno) in Cardiff as a vehicle to become the local support for a Melvins show, the band wanted to make a noise taking influence from a shared love of Girls Against Boys, Nirvana, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The Pixies.

Goldray is the new project of Kenwyn House (Reef), Leah Rasmussen, and Andy Treacy (Faithless) providing haunting, soulful vocals and killer guitar hooks, blending psych and prog experimental arrangements together. Combining the energy of Queens Of The Stone Age, The Doors and Led Zeppelin with emotive power of The Cocteau Twins and Bjork to PJ Harvey and Patti Smith.

EIGHTEEN NIGHTMARES AT THE LUX are a London based band and have a sound that marries all that is good in rock 'n' roll; an infectious blend of catchy riffs, banging beats, fuzzy bass and clever changes. Their live shows are an energetic 'dirty and agitated' cabaret mêlée; a sound the band refer to as 'Fuzzabilly'.
