Slip of the Lip Theatre bring Eugene Ionesco's 1950s iconoclastic, absurdist classic about distressed communication and detectives in disguise to Upstairs at The Gatehouse for some summer lovin'.
This 'wonderful comedy' has been hailed as a 'side-splittingly hilarious' one-act comedy of manners, 'extremely well acted by a hugely talented cast' and, as critic Paul Gustafson noted, 'Despite being over 60 years old, the play remains as relevant as ever in an age of so called communications, where we fritter away so many words on mobile phones, texts, emails and social media yet often fail to say anything that is meaningful'.
