Steinway Gala: An Evening with Arthur Brendel and Steinway and Sons

We are pleased to welcome the legendary pianist and Hampstead resident, Alfred Brendel, to UCS for the very first time. Mr Brendel will present an illustrated talk entitled A Pianist’s A-Z, which provides a witty and enlightening look at his vast musical insights gleaned from his remarkable 60 year career in the concert hall.

A senior representative from Steinway Hall London will also treat us to The Secrets of Steinway. This fun and informative talk will provide a glimpse at the history and craftsmanship of the world’s most famous make of piano. It will also feature performances on, of course, a Steinway Model D Grand Piano by UCS pupils.

We hope that you can join us for a very special evening of UCS Music in the Great Hall on 23 April at 6.30pm. UCS hopes to acquire its own Steinway piano for use in the Great Hall. We have been successful in raising £60,000, over half the funds needed, and we hope that this evening will help us to reach our goal.

Under 18s tickets are free of charge.
