Manika Kaur will headline the Kirtan For Causes Benefit Concert. Manika Kaur will perform songs from her highly acclaimed album ‘I Bow to You Waheguru’ with special musically collaboration from Jyotsna Srikanth (Violin), Talvin Singh OBE (Tabla), Kirpal Singh Panesar (Tar-Shehnai & Dilruba) and a Children's Choir.

Manika’s voice is velvet: rich and luxuriating, coloured deep with the contours of her gentle, echoing tone. Her music radiates light, each note illuminated by her profound passion for Sikh spirituality and the devotional practice of singing kirtan. The word kirtan means ‘adoration’ and refers to the practice of praising the divine by celebrating with melody and rhythm.

Jyotsna Srikanth

Europe’s leading violinist from the Carnatic classical tradition, Jyotsna Srikanth is also an accomplished western classical musician who’s collaborated with acclaimed jazz, western classical and world music artists.

Talvin Singh OBE

Talvin Singh is an accomplished Tabla player, electronic musician, music theorist, record producer, visual practitioner and DJ. He is best known as the father of modern Asian electronica music. In October 2014, Talvin was awarded the OBE by the Queen for his service to the music industry.

Kirpal Singh Panesar

Kirpal Singh Panesar is one of the brightest talents to have emerged in the UK.
He is regarded amongst the leading Tar-Shehnai, Dilruba & Taus performers of today. His skill of improvisation and ability to portray various emotions through his music leaves one captivated.
All proceeds go towards educating impoverished children in Punjab through the 'Kirtan for Causes' foundation.
