Katy Baird - Unreal

Artist and activist Katy Baird makes work that is rough, raw and radical. Her sharp and uncompromising recent show Workshy has toured to over 28 cities ('messy, anarchic and very funny' - The Stage).

This is the very first showing of her new show Unreal, which is at the beginning of its development. Unreal is dedicated to those times in life when you feel totally lost. Those moments when your most terrible thoughts and your biggest failures overshadow everything. When no matter how hard you try, you just can’t shake the feeling that you are faking it all.

Katherine Araniello is an award-winning artist whose work has been shown at Tate Modern, the ICA and internationally. She uses subversive humour in response to the negative representations of disability and twist taboos. Chaos will be contagious. You’ll embrace pity-porn in all its festering glory and Miracles of Life.
