The Magic Lantern take their inspiration from the heartfelt stories of folk, the spirit of jazz and the experimental openness of contemporary chamber music before filtering it through their own lyrical and narrative sensibility.

Swapping instruments and textures, stories and ideas, The Magic Lantern's live show is an intensely moving, indefinable experience where no-one leaves unconverted.

Their debut album of songs written by Jamie Doe and arranged by Fred Thomas, 'A World in a Grain of Sand', was released in 2011.
