Imogen Heap

"As part of our Women in Music events to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017, we are hosting an event with Grammy award winning musician, composer and producer Imogen Heap.

We’ll talk to Imogen about her incredible portfolio career starting with how she began in the business and built her profile, covering her recording work and the wide range of projects she’s involved with today. Imogen has released four solo albums and she’s the only female artist to have won a Grammy for engineering to date. She is also now at the helm of the Featured Artists Coalition, an organisation which specifically represents the interests of featured artists and lobbies for improvements in the music industry alongside the MU and other creator and performer bodies.

Imogen is an innovator in every area of her career and works with various new technologies. We’ll discuss some of her recent initiatives including the musical gloves that enable the wearer to manipulate sound through movement and the Mycelia project which proposes harnessing Blockchain technology for the benefit of all artists."
