Championship Boxing - Buglioni vs Chudinov
The Wise Guy Frank Buglioni gets a dream world title shot at WBA World Super-Middleweight champion, the unbeaten Fedor Chudinov, on Saturday September 26 at the SSE Arena, Wembley.
The two had been due to meet in July 2015, but Chudinov suffered a broken nose and was forced to withdraw from the fight, leaving Winchmore Hill ace Buglioni to take a comprehensive win over Fernando Castaneda and improve his record to 17-1-1 (13 KO).
Now the 26-year-old star gets his shot at winning the world title recently vacated by Carl Froch as he bids to achieve a lifelong dream and become a world champion.
Buglioni has been involved in some truly memorable fights this year, including a domestic fight of the year contender when he shared a thrilling draw with Lee Markham. The Enfield-born fighter also took out Ivan Jukic in explosive fashion, scoring a first round knockout in February to defend his WBO European Super-Middleweight title.
Now he faces the biggest test of his career against Chudinov, who himself won the WBA World Super-Middleweight in dramatic fashion when he travelled to Germany to beat local favourite Felix Sturm. The Russian Chudinov is eyeing a first defence of his title and looks to improve to 14-0.
