Barb Jungr

Well known to London audiences, Barb Jungr makes her Jazz Divas series debut with this concert performance of the material in her recently launched successful album, 'Shelter from The Storm'.

Barb Jungr’s profoundly original arrangements of contemporary American songs have seen her recognised as one of the most important interpreters of the works of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.

Her unrivalled ability as an enthralling song stylist brings new depth and insight into songs, not only by them, but also by acclaimed contemporary writers including Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim and Bernstein and Peter Gabriel.

This Jazz Divas concert includes in addition to these gems, several delightful songs written and performed by Barb herself.

Barb is accompanied on piano by Barry Green with David Mantovani on double bass.
