Barnes Fringe: Bathtime
A play, written and performed by Richard Purnell
Directed by Kellie Tori
Like all great people Harry loves a bath. After a hard day pushing workers around at the call centre, he likes nothing better than lighting the candles and having a gentle soak.
But that’s all scuppered when Harry’s wife, Sarah, is mysteriously bludgeoned to death in their hallway.
From that moment on, he can’t so much as run a tap without someone – a showerer, usually – asking awkward questions, like, “Harry, did you do it?” Bathtime.
An unsettling comedy about when the love runs cold but the bathwater is still hot.
