About the show
London’s leading Turkish music celebration returns, honouring the revolutionary legacy of Cem Karaca.
A towering figure of Anatolian rock, Karaca gave Turkish music its most powerful protest voice - blending psychedelic rock, folk traditions, and a fearless political spirit that still speaks to new generations. His songs of resistance, exile, and longing remain touchstones of Turkey’s cultural history.
For this special night, London-based singer and songwriter Djanan Turan once again joins forces with The Flying Karpet Collective, long-time champions of Anatolian psychedelia in the North London scene.
Completing the bill, DJ Burak Cetindag returns with a rare vinyl set of 60s and 70s Anatolian rock, jazz, funk, and disco - the sounds that defined an era and continue to inspire today.
