London-based alt-folk band; a spirited troupe of five boys and two girls who together craft a sound which is big, beguiling, anthemic and lyrical. Delivered with an air of ramshackle decadence, strong vocal harmonies, soaring strings, keys and buttons along with boots, braces and warbling brass.

The much heralded London-based duo have a distinct musical empathy, fusing Josienne's captivating vocal and songwriting skills and Ben's stand-out guitar playing. Josienne and Ben are the winners of the 2012 Isambard Folk Award.

Worry Dolls met at Paul McCartney’s school of music in Liverpool. Bonding initially due to having the same fiery red locks, what sets them apart is their tongue-in-cheek, honest lyrics and their refusal to sing “cliché love songs”.
Described by Bob Harris as “a warm and infectious sound”, Worry Dolls’ music is packed full of sublime harmonies, atop a plethora of varied instruments.

Six-piece folk-rock acoustic outfit from Kent.
Blending violin, mandolin, dulcimer and accordion with electric guitars and drums, Green Diesel's sound is born from a love of traditional English music and a desire to bring it to a modern audience.
The band perform original compositions steeped in folklore alongside inventive reworkings of traditional songs and tunes. They've appeared at the likes of Beverley Folk Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Broadstairs Folk Week and the Kelburn Garden Party, and shared stages with the likes of Gilmore & Roberts, Spiers & Boden and Fotheringay.

The bands influences which include composer Ennio Morricone, The Shadows and The Coral have led to many unusual genre descriptions about the band such as 'Spaghetti-Folk' and 'Surf-Folk'.

Frederick and the Noise have been gestating for a few years and were finally born in early 2011. The merry bunch play their own raucous brand of Folk 'n' Roll - featuring close harmonies, accordion, violin, and poetic lyrics all to make your heart sing and your blood boil.

Eliza Shaddad is a writer and performer of arresting ability; blending intricate guitar patterns with a stunningly forthright voice, winding between blues, folk, and jazz. As a vocalist and writer with the collective Clean Bandit she has appeared on their EP 'UK Shanty'

Singer/songwriter Sophie tries to paint pictures and atmosphere with words and a delicately-plucked guitar. A sound which began in the conventional female singer-songwriter vein is developing into something more poignant and ethereal.
