My Tricksy Spirit Album Launch

The project was started by Nick Gray, who teaches South East Asian music at SOAS, University of London, and runs the balinese gendér wayang group that forms the basis of the band.

As part of the latest phase of the project, the forthcoming album is produced by Rob Shipster.

Rob plays as part of the electronic rhythm section along with four other musicians, Tomoya Forster of puma rosa, Julian Vickary of general skank, and Charlie Cawood of knifeworld.

With ableton live, several synths and effects, guitar, bass and drums, the music is played through a desk much like dub to create an intense psychedelic journey through sound.
