Emmanuel Vass

After reaching his £2,000 crowd-funding target in less than 5 days, charismatic broadcast pianist Emmanuel Vass comes to The Forge as part of his ‘Sonic Waves’ 2nd album and 25-date national tour. Yorkshire-raised pianist Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Vass graduated from the RNCM in 2011, and has since held the titles of Yamaha’s “Unsigned Artist of the Month”; the Independent newspaper’s “One to Watch”, and BBC music magazine’s “Rising Star”. His first self-produced album and national tour, “From Bach to Bond” featured on BBC Radios 2 and 3, as well as primetime ClassicFM via the flagship John Suchet show. His 2nd album and national tour, “Sonic Waves”, has sold enough copies via his Kickstarter campaign to immediately enter the top 10 classical album charts, and has already featured in Cheshire Life, Attitude, the Dalesman, and Leeds City magazines; and will be ClassicFM’s ‘album of the week’ in June.
He has performed for the Prince of Monaco; the French, Russian, and Filipino ambassadors, and within prestigious venues such as the Queen’s Theatre West End, Castle Howard, the Bridgewater Hall, Steinway Hall, Charlton House, and Millennium Centre Cardiff.
