Leicester Comedy Festival Preview Show
Every Wednesday at The Finsbury, Bear Funny Comedy bring you some of UK's best comedians trying out brand new material.
In Jan 2020 (and Feb 5th) we are partnering with Leicester Comedy Festival to showcase professional comedians heading to the festival to share some of their latest jokes. England's biggest comedy festival runs from 5-23 Febuary this year and we totally recommend a trip to the Midlands!
At this show you will see three acts performing for thirty minutes each separated by a break to explore our excellent bar, food and facilities at the Finsbury.

Jessica has been performing improvised comedy and working as a comedy actress since 2005. In January 2008 she hit the UK stand up circuit like a thunderbolt of joy and was a finalist in the Funny Women's Awards 2010. Jessica co-hosts the mighty Guilty Feminist podcast which has reached well over 10 million listeners and is regularly in the Top 10 on the iTunes chart. She starred in this year’s hugely acclaimed new BBC2 sitcom from Sharon Horgan and Graham Linehan Motherland as well as the award winning BBC1 drama Three Girls. “Intensely funny” Time Out 'Fostekew is a hugely engaging presence and there's something reassuringly honest about her... Abi Roberts and her big hair exploded onto the stand-up comedy scene in 2012. She was a Finalist and Runner-Up in the London Comedy Store's Costa Light Comedy Competition in 2012, a Finalist and Runner-Up In the 2012 Harrogate Theatre's Comedian of the Year and took the Audience Award at the same festival. She is a regular weekend act at comedy clubs such as The Glee Clubs, Bearcat Comedy and Backyard Comedy Club, as well as the major independent clubs, such as Bracknell Comedy Cellar, Banana Cabaret, Gag House Comedy and The Kings Head. Abi gigs all over the UK. She also regularly appears as a Guest Comedian on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live, Midweek, Weekend and Outlook, as well as on comedy radio stations Talk Radio, FuBar Radio, Moscow Comedy FM (Russia) and Wildfire Radio (US) and she has just filmed her first sitcom pilot for Sky One playing a Russian woman Irina in Cameron Gordon’s Bucketless, as well as a major roles in Square Cat Films Comedy Shorts, One Under and The Honeymoon. She recently became the first UK comic to perform in Russia, in Russian, completing three nights of shows to packed-out houses at Moscow Comedy Club.
