The Burning Gadulka

The gadulka player tells a story about his emotional relationship with his instrument - gadulka (a Bulgarian traditional stringed instrument). Using humour and sarcasm, he draws our attention into the gadulka.

The gadulka player pulls back the curtain and reveals many similarities between him and the instrument. Confronting his intrinsic shame, the frenetic pace of life, and our need for common bonds, he takes us on a journey through the mysteries and fear we all must face on a daily basis.

The performance is a sad story about the foundation, which no one seems to notice and count as an important by the moment when it disappears and we all have the feeling as if we are disappearing as well
