The Hell Presents Joris

Hardcore’s greatest masked entourage returns to the stage in 2021 for an exclusive immersive live performance of Joris (A Hardcore Opera) Pt. 1; the world’s very first heavy metal opera.

Fusing metal and theatre, The Dome will transform into scenes from the musical and punters will have the chance to take the role of their favourite characters and lose themselves in The Hell’s world. Crashing onto the scene in 2013, The Hell consists of anything between five and twelve talented but anonymous musicians, who have been wearing masks since long before it became a medical necessity. Having released several albums and EPs, Joris (A Hardcore Opera) Pt. 1, is their first forray into the musical world.

Joris (A Hardcore Opera) Pt. 1 follows disgruntled hardware store, Tool Me Once, employee, Joris, on what seems like another miserable and mundane day in the life, but very quickly turns out to be the start of his new life of adventure, ambition, and dodgy car dealerships. After racing his demons to get to work on time, Joris faces off with the ultimate opera villain and jobsworth store manager, Cliff, and persuades some of the other employees to throw in the towel and start a band with him. With other parts on the way, Vice calls Joris “As flamboyant as it is brutal, as fun as it is genuinely innovative, it is a concept album of subtle genius.”
