Winning over critics and fans alike, James Acaster has earned himself a reputation as one of the most hotly tipped acts of 2012. Effortlessly confident, James's appreciation for the whimsy and detail of everyday life are a breath of fresh air. His laid back style, playful wit and appetite for the unconventional make for an evening of mirth and hilarity, and a night in his company is a treat to behold.
Since winning Laughing Boy New Act of the Year, James has gone from strength to strength appearing on Dave's One Night Stand, Russell Howard's Good News (BBC Three) and Show & Tell (E4) whilst also playing to over 100,000 people on tour with Milton Jones.
'Curious, original, immensely enjoyable stuff' (The Daily Telegraph)
'Deliciously daft and no slouch in the surprises department... One of comedy’s most original voices' (Evening Standard)
'Reminiscent of Stewart Lee or Richard Herring but suffused with enough of his
own personality to sound crisp and fresh' (The Independent)
'Stand-up of the highest most playful order' (The Guardian).

Sara Pascoe is a British writer, stand-up comedian and actress. She has appeared in a number of television programmes - Campus, Live At The Apollo, QI, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week among others - as well as an all-female sketch show and her own Edinburgh show, and runs comedy club The House Of Mirth.
Sara's stand-up is influenced by her joint favourite heroes, Jodie Marsh and Winston Churchill.
'Always intelligent and occasionally exquisite' (The Independent)
'Pascoe uses erudite references as just one strand of an offbeat worldview, offset by moments of gloriously deliberate dumbness and delivered with nothing less than full-megawatt charisma' (The Guardian)
'... defiantly idiosyncratic and highly accessible' (Evening Standard).

Eric is renowned for sweeping up audiences in the sheer energy of his performance. Delightfully weird with a keen eye for the absurd, his scatty character rips like a mini-hurricane.
'Delightfully weird' (Time Out)
'He makes it look so easy but this is a man with very funny bones. Definitely one to catch' (Daily Express)
'Superb banter that was clearly improvised. The sign of a good comedian' (Three Weeks)
'Lampaert is at ease with the performer-punter dynamic, displaying a cool comic ease that grounds the show. Natural comic flair and the knack for a decent hook, action-packed and rapid, exploring the less-traditional delivery style really works for him, and should prove enough comic bite to take him to the next level' (The Skinny)
'Quirky with an eye for the absurd and a couple of near-Izzardian flourishes… energy is such that it's almost osmotic' (The Stage).

Winner: Best Debut Show – 2009 Leicester Comedy Festival.
John has quickly made his name as one of the most quick-witted, engaging comedians on the circuit. He's the latest to burst out of Bristol's hotbed of talent and he has stories to tell, banter to have and bombs to drop.
'Funnier than all of them, his self-deprecation and Olympic ad-libbing would have you skipping happily down even the darkest alley' (Venue)
'One man, one microphone, one fantastically funny show' (Three Weeks)
'Like discovering buried treasure' (Fest)
'Comedy's best kept secret' (The Skinny)
'A complete and utter natural' (Russell Howard)
'... fantastically entertaining' (http://www.Chortle.co.uk)
'Sparkling stand-up' (The Times)
'One of the most consistently pleasing hours on the fringe' (The Independent)
'One of the most naturally gifted comedians I've seen' (The Daily Telegraph).
