Scena Mundi was founded by Cecilia Dorland in 2011 and is Company in Residence at St Bartholomew the Great, the City’s oldest church. Scena Mundi, or “Stage of the World,” specialises in classical European theatre with emphasis on works of the Middle-Ages and early Renaissance. Their latest season, “Sad Stories of the Death of Kings”, featuring Shakespeare’s Richard II and Marlowe’s Edward II at St Bartholomew the Great, received great critical success.
