Top Tips For The Ten Minute Play
The short play is an increasingly popular forum for exploring contemporary themes and ideas, with regular competitions and call outs for these bitesize dramas.
Jack Literary Manager David Bottomley shares his top ten tips in a two hour workshop dedicated to the art of creating the killer ten minute play.
David is Literary Manager of the Jack, and a playwright and workshop leader. He has run workshops for Spread the Word, Goldsmiths, IDEO and IdeasTap. He founded the London Playwrights’ Collective and the Jack Writers’ Workshop.
He took Message in a Bottle, his one man show to Edinburgh Festival 2012 and his play, The Peacock and the Nightingale, had it’s world premiere at the San Diego International Fringe Festival in 2014. He has recently had several of his short plays performed at venues throughout London, including Southwark Playhouse, Rosemary Branch Theatre and the Hope Theatre.
