Panatehnaia

Join Senior Curator Ian Jenkins, British Museum, for the lecture The Parthenon Frieze: a symphony in stone, followed by the cantata Panathenaia performed in front of the Parthenon Frieze that inspired it.

Panathenaia is a collaboration between award-winning composer Thomas Hewitt Jones and writer Paul Williamson, set for orchestra, musicians and vocalists, including the award-winning VOCES8 ensemble.

The ticket allows entry to both the lecture (6:30pm – 7:30pm) and a seat in Room 18 for the performance (7:45pm – 8:45pm). This event is generously supported by Molly Lowell and David Borthwick.
