The Devil In Me

“Forgive me Father, for I have sinned”

Performance Artist Daren Pritchard is back with his second show and God wants a word with him. The Devil has called in sick, and God wants to Daren to cover him for a day, hoping the experience will put him off of his life of sin in a bid to reform. However, the binge-drinking, man-obsessed male finds it hard to abstain from life’s little pleasures and is given a glimpse of his future, causing him to doubt his current lifestyle. Will he continue to indulge in his condemned actions? Or will he choose the path of righteousness?

Building upon the success of his debut ‘In Bad Taste’, Daren continues to bring contemporary performance art installation littered with pop culture references and songs. This latest piece explores the prejudice to sexuality through belief and religion. His thought-provoking one-man cabaret incorporates lip-sync, spoken word, and movement to create a bizarre evening of camp humour, and raunchiness, with dark and serious undertones.
