The Facemelter
Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser
Chaos Theory hails the return of post-metal favourites and new discoveries with fresh sounds at their monthly night.
---------------
Psoty
Over a year and a half after their last gig at The Facemelter, this heavy instrumental trio return with more hypnotic basslines, flowing dynamics and bone-crushing riffs, as well as some new material to play you...
"Offers several changes in pace and a trading of the trademark light and dark of the elegant post-rock and the ugly sludge riffs" - The Sludgelord
"A cocktail of shimmer and sludge" - The Monolith
---------------
Archelon
An accomplished sound from this Sheffield-based band, flowing effortlessly between delicate buildups to dark and heavy rock riffs, layered with breathy, coarse vocals, resulting in a sound that calls back to the earliest pioneers of post-metal.
"Knut and Neurosis with a decent helping of Isis" - Wonderbox Metal
---------------
Jack Nash
An American/Portuguese soloist, who we caught at the Spread all-dayer at New River Studios in July.
This multi-instrumentalist makes improvised, stream-of-consciousness music inspired by his surroundings, looping wild guitars, plastic synths and drum machines.
He's already shared the stage with Chiyoda Ku, Steve Strong, Alpha Male Tea Party, Body Hound, A-Tota-So and his influences range from future garage to prog-rock to fusion jazz to jungle. No two shows are the same.
