Olga Koch does stand-up comedy onstage and creates cathartic performance art in the privacy of her own home. She has trained at the UCB Theatre in New York, as well as the Soho Theatre and the Free Association in London. Along with fellow Soho Young Company comics, she runs Joy Multiplication, a monthly comedy night in London. Olga is a confident girl. Finalist - Amused Moose National New Comic Award 2017 Finalist - Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2016 Regional Finalist - Funny Women Awards 2017 Selected for BBC New Comedy Award 2016 & 2017 "I would expect to see her make inroads into the comedy scene fairly quickly" (Chortle). In 2013 she won the Up The Creek ‘One To Watch’ award and was also a finalist in the Leicester Square Theatre New Act Competition. Sarah has since performed at some of the most prestigious comedy venues and festivals in the UK. Since their formation, Shelf have performed at Bestival, London Pride, and been nominated for Sketchfest’s Best New Act award. They were finalists in the Funny Women 2019 Stage Award. Their work has appeared on BBC3 and LADBible. They are founding members of sell out monthly night The LOL Word, which showcases queer women and non-binary comedians from across the London comedy circuit. They are board members of the cult hit Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, with whom they regularly perform in London and Edinburgh.
