Live At The Tabard Theatre - Double Bill
Award-winning stand-up comedian and poet Rob Auton (Dave’s Funniest Joke Of The Fringe award winner, Glastonbury’s ‘Poet In Residence’) returns with another heart-felt and offbeat comedy/theatre/spoken word show.
Alongside performing solo, Rob hosts “the best poetry gig in the UK” (The Times), Bang Said The Gun. The spoken-word night’s raucous and anarchic spirit attracts a rich mix of new talent and some of the most established names in poetry/music including Kate Tempest, Roger McGough and John Hegley.
Jack Barry is an exciting name making waves in the comedy world and is probably the only stand up on the circuit with a degree in Chinese – what a waste. Jack has appeared on Channel 4’s Catastrophe, ITV2’s @elevenish as part of sketch duo Twins and in James Acaster’s web series Sweet Home Lahnsteineringa.
An excellent writer, he has written for Mock the Week (BBC2) and a sketch he wrote entitled Get Staffed went viral, becoming a Vimeo staff pick and appearing on the Canal+ TV show L’Oeil de Links in France. The sketch was shortlisted for Best Comedy Short at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and won Single Funniest Moment at the Portland Comedy Festival.
