Channelling the energy from their parade at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival, Tambores Livres (Free Drums) are joining forces with Movimentos to show solidarity with the indigenous communities in Brazil and raise funds for reforestation initiatives in the Amazon area.
The evening party will bring together two of London’s mightiest Afro-Samba crews Baque de Axe and Tribo, plus Capoeira performances, live performance art as well as DJ sets from Musica Macondo and Jazz FM’s Tim Garcia, Cal Jader (Movimientos) and more guests TBA.
And from 3pm there’ll be a special daytime programme with dance classes, workshops on drumming and sustainability, talks and film presentations all focused on the Amazon.
