Jazz Psalms And Songs
Eclectic Voices and a band of outstanding jazz soloists come together in the Actor's Church, Covent Garden, to perform a set of modern jazz suites.
The centrepiece of the evening is a new composition by British composer John Ashton-Thomas, especially written for Eclectic Voices and Jazz group.
Entitled simply ‘7 Blake Songs’, it is a setting of seven of William Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience and is full of energetic rhythms and beautiful melodies.
The choir and Jazz Band will perform Stroman's Jazz Psalms, and Stroman's arrangement of Jim Pepper's Witchi Tai Suite.
