Oliver Condy

Oliver Condy combines a varied and interesting life as a classical music journalist (he is Editor of BBC Music Magazine) with organ and singing performances and radio broadcasting.

Oliver takes us on a Grand Tour of organ music starting with Bruhns and De Grigny - the Danish and French predecessors of JS Bach and early pioneers of the organ repertoire.

Travel throughout the continent taking in music from four centuries including works by Pärt, Rautavaara, Gibbons and Araujo. The programme begins and ends with the colossal achievements of Bach's Preludes and Fugues in G and B minor displaying the ringing tones of St Mary's organ to full effect.
