Hope and Homes for Children Christmas Carol Concert

Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser

Join us at St Mary Abbots Church, Kensington, for a special evening of music and merriment, featuring a special performance from singer and songwriter Katie Melua. The evening will be followed by wine and festive canapés created by Rhubarb.

This enchanting celebration of Christmas will feature a variety of professional performances and some ever popular choral classics to get you and your loved ones in the festive spirit. Alongside Katie Melua, this year’s performers include the talented child choir from Downe House School, BBC Young Musician 2018 Finalist, Maxim Calver, and brass quintet, Canon Brass.

We are also pleased to welcome some of our celebrity supporters, including our host for the evening Di Dougherty, presenter Mel Giedroyc and journalist Kate Adie.

The evening is in aid of Hope and Homes for Children, the international children’s charity working to create a world in which children no longer suffer institutional care and instead grow up within the love and protection of a family.

Tickets for the Carol Concert are £25 per adult, £10 per child.
Spaces at the Carol Concert are limited so book soon to guarantee your tickets.

Katie Melua

Katie Melua appearing at this event

When Georgian-born Katie signed with Mike Batt’s Dramatico Records in September 2002, no-one could have imagined that by the release of her third album, Pictures, she would be the biggest-selling UK-based, female artist in the world that year. Her first two albums, ‘Call Off The Search’ and ‘Piece By Piece’ both became international number ones, and the story was to continue, after an exciting, record-breaking rollercoaster ride involving several massive world tours and many special moments – like Katie playing on stage for Nelson Mandela with her idols, Queen, or performing for or dining with The Queen at Buckingham Palace. Almost two decades on, Katie still continues to travel the world performing to sold out crowds.
