The Italian Guitar 1
Two of Italy's foremost guitarists play one half of this concert each.
Christian studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Milan, where he graduated in Paolo Chierici's class. He is a Prize winner at numerous prestigious competitions across the world and has recorded concerts for television in Italy, France, United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Spain, Argentina, Japan and Russia. Christian is a much sought-after juror in international competitions, performs and gives masterclasses across the world.
Programme includes Nuccio D’Angelo, Napoleon Coste, Roland Dyens and Miguel Llobet.
Andrea Vettoretti is an extraordinary guitarist and composer and is considered by many critics to be one of the most important guitarists in Europe. Born in Treviso, Italy, he studied at the Gioachino Rossini Conservatory and later in Paris, winning the XV edition of the prestigious A.R.A.M Competition of Rome in 2000.
He has performed all over the world, in prestigious venues like the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London and Salle Cortot in Paris, as well as Rome, Berlin, Dublin, Valencia, Mexico City and Miami.
He presents his new CD called ‘RAIN’ which intriguingly features 15 pieces of music inspired by fifteen ‘rain stories’ by 15 different writers, presenting an extraordinary mixture of music and literature. A very special concert not to be missed!
